Sunderland have been linked with a host of players this summer, but two of them – Ross McCrorie and Todd Kane – may have just edged slightly closer to moves this week.

McCrorie is reportedly the subject of interest from the Black Cats, but a fee of £1million may be required to lure the midfielder away from Aberdeen.

The Dons have been clear that they don’t want to sell both McCrorie and fellow star man Lewis Ferguson during this window, but one of the pair may yet depart.

And with new Aberdeen boss Stephen Glass having added young Brighton midfielder Teddy Jenks to his ranks this week, speculation that one of the duo could leave is mounting given that Jenks joins a large number of fellow midfielders in Aberdeen’s squad.

Jenks, Scott Brown, Dean Campbell, Dylan McGeouch, McCrorie, Ferguson and Miko Virtanen are all under contract for next season.

At QPR, meanwhile, reports suggest that a move has been made to bring full-back Moses Odubajo to Loftus Road.

The arrival of the Sheffield Wednesday man could then open the door for fellow defender Kane to depart.

Charlton, Portsmouth and the Black Cats have all been linked with a move for the former Chelsea youngster.
