Should any tickets remain available, 2021/22 season ticket holders will then be able to buy tickets from 10am on Friday, May 14.

Fans will be allocated seats on a first come, first served basis with no tickets available to purchase at the club’s ticket office or over the phone – all sales must be completed via the club’s online ticketing site.

Tickets will be priced at £20 for adults and £10 for under-16s and over-65s after discussions with supporter working groups.

Sunderland have also confirmed that tickets will be sold in ‘pods’ – with fans able to link their accounts via the online ticketing site to ensure they are seated in the same pod.

Supporters are also unlikely to be sat in the seat in which their season ticket was purchased for due to social distancing guidelines.

No away fans will be able to attend the fixture, with the first leg set to be played in front of approximately 2,500 Lincoln City supporters.

It will be the first time during the Kyril Louis-Dreyfus and Lee Johnson era that fans have been able to attend a fixture - and the Sunderland head coach believes the return of supporters could be ‘absolutely huge’.

"That could be absolutely huge and to be honest it's the thing that probably excites me most about the play offs, having that buzz again," he said last week.

"I think I'd literally cry if someone said that we can't have fans in for the play-offs.

"The fanbase here something that was a big part of my decision to come to the football club.”
