William Storey claims to have launched second, improved bid for Sunderland AFC
Stewart Donald looks set to sell a majority stake in the club to a consortium including Juan Sartori and Kyril Louis-Dreyfus, which would see the duo take a shareholding of 79 per cent in the Black Cats.
And while that deal is understood to be close to completion – with reports on Saturday evening suggesting that Louis-Dreyfus is now going through routine EFL checks – Storey claims to have lodged a second bid for the club.

Hide AdPosting on Twitter, he said: “I can confirm that my London lawyers submitted a second formal legal bid to purchase Sunderland AFC on the 19th November. It is by far the biggest offer received by Madrox partners limited & I expect it to be accepted.”
But those close to the deal suggest it is still Sartori and Louis-Dreyfus in pole position.
