Sunderland linked with Aberdeen player
Sunderland are plotting a move for Aberdeen youngster Ethan Ross, who is set to become a free agent.

However, Blackburn Rovers are also reportedly interested in a deal for the Scotland youth international.
Black Cats starlet Anthony Patterson attracting interest
Anthony Patterson is attracting interest from clubs further fown the EFL
The Echo understands that some League Two clubs are monitoring Patterson’s situation following his impressive end to the campaign.
That means a loan move could be on the cards for the young goalkeeper, who impressed as Sunderland U23s reached the Premier League 2 play-off final.
Much, though, will likely depend on if Sunderland do indeed sign Jacob Carney.
His expected arrival from Manchester United could well help the decision-making process surrounding Patterson.
That’s because Carney is likely to form part of Elliott Dickman’s youth team
That will mean there is no longer a reliance on Patterson to play in Premier League 2 games, which would allow him to depart on loan.
Oxford United closing in on capture of Portsmouth striker
Oxford United are closing in on Ellis Harrison.
Pompey are keen to offload the centre-forward this summer, with the U’s and Fleetwood having registered interest.
However, it is understood Harrison favours a move to the Kassam Stadium – and a deal is almost within reach.
The 27-year-old has yet to feature under Danny Cowley, being sidelined with knee ligament damage before the head coach’s March arrival.
