South Shields comedian Chris Ramsey and wife Rosie nominated for best podcast prize at Global Awards

But his work with wife Rosie Ramsey on the couple’s comedy podcast could be just the ticket to net another prize.

Chris and Rosie’s show S****** Married Annoyed is nominated for the best podcast prize at 2020’s Global Awards.

The couple took to their respective Twitter accounts to celebrate the news – and to urge listeners, affectionately known as SMAs, to head online to vote.

Chris said: “[The show] has been nominated for best podcast in the Global awards. SMAs, you know what to do!”

Rosie added: “We’ve been nominated for an award! We need your votes please SMAs. Side note … I used to work for Global so to be nominated for their awards feels a bit surreal!

“It’s like one of my ex boyfriends remembering me … finally!”

Launched in early 2019, the hilarious podcast charts the milestones and pitfalls and marriage and parenting, while also calling for listeners to send in their questions, stories and office polls in for discussion.

Forty-five episodes, which also feature a celebrity question, have been released so far and the show is expected to return on Friday, January 10.

Competition in Chris and Rosie’s category includes Off Menu with comedians Ed Gamble and James Acaster, the Love Island podcast and Here We Go Again with Stacy Solomon.

The Global Awards is now in its third year and celebrates the famous faces of music, news and entertainment worlds. The star-studded ceremony is taking place in London on Thursday, March 5.
