South Tyneside SENDIASS hosts free behaviour support workshops in Jarrow
The free workshops, led by family carers, will explore Positive Behaviour Support and provide practical strategies to support young people with SEN and disabilities.
Free behaviour support workshops for family carers and parents are to be held in Jarrow in November.
Hosted by South Tyneside Special Educational Needs and Disability Information, Advice & Support Service (SENDIASS), the ‘positive behaviour workshops’ are for people who may be ‘concerned’ about a young person’s behaviour and would like to learn practical strategies to support them
SENDIASS offers free and impartial information, advice and support to parents/carers, children and young people with SEN and disabilitilies.
The workshops will be led by family carers and the sessions explore Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), understanding the reasons behind behaviour, and promoting a good quality of life for children, young people, and their families.

They will take place at Bede Family Hub, Jarrow, on November 5, 12 and 19.
Lunch will be provided and they are free to attend, aimed at parents and family carers of children and young people (under 18) who are autistic, have a learning disability, or are awaiting diagnosis.
Booking is essential and attendance at all three sessions is required.
Those unable to attend can join the waiting list for future sessions.
