A huge bridal extravaganza will transform Newcastle’s Utilita Arena into a one-stop wedding shop this weekend. The Northern Wedding Show will be championing inclusivity in the wedding industry, with influencers, real brides-to-be and plus size models, as well as a transgender model, all taking to the catwalk wearing major bridal brands. It promises to be one of many highlights of the spectacular, which takes place from 10am to 4pm on both Saturday, January 25 and Sunday, January 26. 7. Roy Chubby Brown, Billingham Forum, January 24 & 25
After 50 years in show business Roy Chubby Brown is back on the road again and will be at Billingham Forum on January 24 and 25. Over the years the controversial comedian has had 30 DVDs released, performed 2,000 plus live shows worldwide, released four books and had countless original songs. 8. Burns Night Dinner and Ceilidh, Sage Gateshead, January 24 and 25
A Burns Night Dinner and Ceilidh will be held at Sage Gateshead on January 24 and 25. Celebrate the birthday of one of Scotland’s most important literacy figures, Robert Burns with traditional poetry readings, a two-course dinner of classic Scottish dishes, all topped off with a toast of whisky. Followed by a ceilidh with a whirling, fun-filled evening of jigs, reels and live entertainment. £29.50 per person, includes a two-course dinner with a welcome dram of whisky and a traditional Ceilidh.
