12. Holy Island of Lindisfarne
Check the tide tables first but it's possible to walk from the mainland to Holy Island via the Pilgrims Way causeway. There are also lovely walks to be enjoyed between Lindisfarne Castle and Lindisfarne Priory, taking in the small harbour. Photo: Kimberley Powell
