The second national lockdown is officially over and has been replaced with new Tier 3 restrictions in the whole of the North East.

But while South Tyneside is under the highest level of restrictions, we look at eight things you can do in Jarrow under the regulations.

Jarrow Hall will have limited opening to visitors for the next two weekends before closing the site for the winter. Tickets should be pre-booked online at https://www.jarrowhall.org.uk/ before visiting.
The new tier 3 restrictions means non-essential retail is allowed to reopen and the Viking Centre has plenty to offer to find that perfect Christmas bargain.

The i newsletter cut through the noise

The historic St Paul's Church, which is more than 1,000 years old, is unable to welcome back visitors, but has reopened its shop and is open for private prayer.
Gyms are free to reopen under Tier 3, and the Jarrow Focus gym facilities will be back up and running from Thursday December 3. Group exercise classes unfortunately aren't able to operate in Tier 3 areas, however.

Just like the gym, the Jarrow Community Pool inside Jarrow focus is reopening to the public from Thursday December 3.
Due to tier 3 restrictions, pubs must remain closed, but staff at the popular Lakeside Inn are keeping busy by selling Christmas Tree's while they wait for it to be safe to open.
Pre-school dance group Little Movers is returning with classes across South Tyneside, including Jarrow's Bilton Hall Community Trust. Places can be booked online.
