Pumpkin patches in the North East to visit this Halloween

Halloween is fast approaching and pumpkin patches are proving popular this year.

Here is our list of pumpkin patches to visit this Halloween.

The North East has plenty of places to pick your own pumpkin to get into the spooky spirit of Halloween and get that perfect insta snap.

At Church Farm, Sessay, near Thirsk, Spilmans offers pumpkin picking from 10am til 4pm until Halloween. There's also a carving barn that can be booked in advance. Prices vary from £1 to £10 depending on pumpkin size.
At Adventure Valley in Durham between October 26 and November 3 you can get a free pumpkin with entry for children and they can carve a pumpkin from the patch on site. Entry costs £11.95.

Brocksbushes Farm in Northumberland have been offering their yearly Pick your Own Pumpkins event on their fields.
Down at the Farm in Houghton is offering pumpkin carving for £1.50 between October 26 and October 31 in the pumpkin barn.
You can get a pumpkin at East Grange Pick Your Own Pumpkins at High Shincliffe from October 26 to October 31 at 10am til 3pm.
Newham Grange Farm in Coulby Newham offers a pumpkin patch at an extra price to the £4 entry and you can carve the pumpkins in the pumpkin barn.
The Alnwick Garden in Northumberland offers pumpkin carving from October 26 to October 31 at half an hour intervals from 11am to 2.30pm each day. The cost is £5 per pumpkin.
Whitehouse Farm Centre in Morpeth are offering one free pumpkin for each paying child and extras can be bought while stocks last. Pumpkin carving will take place on site from October 26 to October 31.
