Jarrow’s pub scene got a boost this month with the reopening of two historic pubs – within steps of each other.

We take a look inside the former Golden Lion, which has been renamed Johnnie’s in honour of its longstanding former landlord, Johnnie Ingles, and The Albion which has opened in the former Jarrow Gin and Ale Bar.
