New One Stop store opens in latest change at Harton Village in South Shields
Shoppers have a new destination on their doorstep in the latest new business opening up in their neighbourhood.
A new One Stop store opened on Friday, March 26, in the former Harton Convenience Store at 173 Sunderland Road in Harton Village, following an extension and revamp.
It is the latest new business to join the bustling shopping area, and comes after the news plastic-free grocery store Zilch Weigh House will open in the former The Cake Place unit.
Recent months have seen the closure of the Cafe at the Corner in the village, however, with owners citing the impact of the pandemic and the expiration of their lease.
One Stop said the new convenience store will provide the area with “quality products and great deals on items people need every day”.

Its opening hours will be Monday to Sunday, 6am until 10pm
Franchisee Dhaval Kuhadiya said: “We are extremely happy with the transformation of our new store and have received such a warm welcome – we would like to thank the Harton Village community for this.”
