Families praise South Tyneside schools for going above and beyond during pandemic

It goes without saying that school staff have been a lifeline to South Tyneside families during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Whether your children have been learning from home or able to attend class in person, they would have been lost without the support of their school’s staff during an academic year filled with ever-changing restrictions and uncertainty.

Every single member of staff involved in supporting our young people across South Tyneside and beyond deserves our heartfelt thanks.

Anne McDowell: “St Aloysius in Hebburn have been brilliant. The staff have worked so hard to support students and also the wider community.

"They even went the extra mile to ensure the kids' handmade Christmas cards were safely dropped off at our door when the class had to isolate!”

Kristie Howden: “Epinay School have done everything to make sure not just my child but all of them are receiving the help and support they require. Thank you Epinay.”

Stevie-Jay Elliott: “Westoe Crown! Mr Price has been great making sure parents are informed, that all safety measures are in place and that contact with kids is regular.

"Teachers ringing home regularly to make sure families have what they need.”
