It has been a busy few weeks for the courts.

There have been some big cases over the last week or so in the North East.

These are some of the people jailed or given suspended sentences for offences and around Tyneside throughout the second half of July.

They all appeared at Newcastle Crown Court unless otherwise stated.

Kristofer Storrie was sentenced to eight months, suspended for two years, with rehabilitation requirements after police found a total of 431 pictures and one video, featuring children as young as one on his devices.

Allison, 24, of Roundhill Avenue, Blakelaw, and Andrea Train, 49, of Rothay Place, Newcastle, both pleaded guilty to charges of violent disorder in the same hearing last month. Andrea Train was sentenced to three years and four months behind bars, with half of the term to be served on licence. Allison was handed the same sentence, and ordered to serve a further six months in custody for a separate offence of breaching a community order.
