13. Blueberry (Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cross)
Blueberry is a very scared, nervous and timid young lady, in fact, she is one of the most shut down dogs that has walked through the shelter's doors. From the moment she arrived, she just wanted to hide away and not even be looked at; heart-breaking to witness. Blueberry has come a long way during her time in the shelter, but still has a long way to go. | Newcastle Dog & Cat Shelter

14. Oreo
Oreo is a very sweet and affectionate boy, but he is also very sensitive and shy initially. He can warn you off when you first approach him, but it is all talk and within a few minutes he is usually wanting to be in your lap, purring and chatting away. Oreo just needs to feel safe in his environment, and is easily scared when faced with uncertainty. | Newcastle Dog & Cat Shelter

15. Mickey and Eric
Mickey and Eric are a lovely bonded pair of brothers. They were struggling when they first arrived and spent all their time hiding away so staff moved them to a quieter area of the shelter. Since the move, they have massively grown in confidence. They saw that Mickey was the more confident out of the pair, he was quicker to make friends and didn’t hesitate to approach them to ask for attention. While Eric was a bit more reserved to begin with, he’s also really come out of his shell now. | Newcastle Dog & Cat Shelter

16. Voodoo
Voodoo is a chap with a huge personality! He was not a happy lad when he arrived at the shelter, known to be a scared, grumbly boy who lashes out when feeling scared or annoyed. Voodoo has been on foster with a foster family and is doing much better now that he’s in a home environment. | Newcastle Dog & Cat Shelter
