Adam Armstrong on brink of loan move away from Newcastle


The striker was left out of Rafa Benitez's squad for the club's training camp in Ireland.
Armstrong has previously had loan spells at Barnsley and Coventry City.

Hide AdAnd the 20-year-old is not in Benitez's plans for the coming season.
A club statement read: "Adam Armstrong has stayed in Newcastle, with a number of clubs interested in taking the England Under-20 international on loan."
Armstrong came off the bench in Friday night's 2-1 win over Heart of Midlothian.
The Newcastle-born player helped England win the Under-20 World Cup this summer.
Asked about United's returned loan players at Tynecastle, Benitez said: "We have to see if they have improved or grown as a player."
