Businessman celebrates his female staff on International Women's Day with a free drink each

A businessman has showed just how much he appreciates his female staff by offering each of them a free drink to mark International Women's Day.

The global day celebrates the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women.

Eamonn Gribben who owns The Little Haven Hotel in South Shields and seven nurseries in the area employs 148 women across his businesses.

Eamonn knows how hard his female staff work and wanted to offered them something to show his gratitude.

Across his businesses today female staff are enjoying a free tipple courtesy of Eamonn.

He said: "Empowerment of women is so important to me, I believe women should be appreciated substantially more than they are at present, especially in the work place. I have 148 amazing female staff and I am so proud of everything they bring to the business and how they continue to learn, grow and strive as employees and individuals.

"Women are the backbone or families, communities and businesses, constantly throughout their lives taking on various roles, wearing many hats and doing it all with grace.

"It is up to all of us to celebrate and elevate the women in our lives as they so rightly deserve. Happy International Women’s Day!"
