Chloe and Liam Together Forever Trust helps young footballers with £1,000 donation

The Chloe and Liam Together Forever Trust – set up in honour of the teenage couple – has donated £1,000 to the South Shields FC Foundation.

The foundation will use the money to contribute towards a new coach development fund, which will support the development of eight volunteer coaches per season.

The coaches will receive funding to complete higher level coaching qualifications to help deliver an even better coaching service to young players at the club.

Chloe and Liam’s families have worked tirelessly to turn tragedy into hope since they died in a bombing at the Manchester Arena last May.

The trust aims to help nuture the talents of aspiring sportspeople and performers to enable them to fulfil their potential.

Jamie Williams, head of youth performance and development at South Shields FC, said: “Our coaches are doing a great job to inspire a love for the game and are developing key sport and life skills on a weekly basis.

“Like Together Forever, we want to inspire children and young people to realise their passion and to support them towards achieving it.

“We are honoured to be connected with the Together Forever Trust and are delighted that we can play our part in ensuring Chloe and Liam’s legacy.

“The money will be invested in improving the coaching experience offered by the foundation through the attainment of advanced coaching qualifications.”
