CCTV image shows man police want to speak to after bank card stolen from Hebburn was used in Sunderland

Police have issued a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to in connection with a burglary in South Tyneside.

On the morning of Friday, January 3, officers received a report of a burglary in Hollyhock Gardens, Hebburn.

It was reported the occupant had got up and found the door wide open and a number of items, including bank cards and a black VW car that had been parked outside, had been taken..

The break-in happened at some point between 9.15pm on evening of January 2 and when the resident reported it.

Officers have now identified a man they would like to speak to.

He was in a petrol station in Pallion when one of the stolen bank cards was used.

The man, or anyone who knows him, is asked to call 101 quoting reference 143 030120 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
