Hebburn naked man latest: Police release new picture in hunt for man after spate of indecent exposure offences

Police officers searching for a man who has been spotted cycling naked from the waist down have issued photos of someone they want to trace.

Northumbria Police is investigating a spate of indecent exposure offences across South Tyneside and have today, Monday, May 17, released a fresh image of a man they would like to speak to.

An investigation is ongoing after incidents on Friday, April 9, and Friday, April 16, when a man was seen without any trousers or underwear in the Hebburn Riverside Park area.

On the first occasion, the man – who was riding a bicycle – briefly spoke to a member of the public before riding away.

Then on Wednesday, May 12, the force received a similar report of a man not wearing trousers or underwear riding a bike in the Wardley Lane area of Gateshead.

A spokesperson for the force said: “An investigation into each of the reports, which are being treated as linked, are ongoing and police have now released a fresh image of a man they would like to identify.

“The man could have valuable information that can assist with our inquiries.”

The man, or anyone who thinks they know him, is asked to contact police via the Tell Us Something page of the Northumbria Police website or by calling 101 quoting log 700 160421.
