Resisting police and Metro fare dodging - the latest South Shields court cases

Tyler Edgar, 19, of Witham Road, Hebburn, was banned from driving for 12 months and ordered to pay a £120 fine, £32 victim surcharge and £85 prosecution costs after admitting drug driving in Sunderland on March 28.

Josh Fothergill, 26, of Long Row, South Shields, was fined £40 and ordered to pay a £34 victim surcharge and £85 costs after admitting causing £420 of criminal damage in Sunderland on July 15.

Colin Harkus, 38, of Woodhave Court, South Shields, received six penalty points on his licence and was ordered to pay a £120 fine, £32 victim surcharge and £85 costs after admitting failing to identify a driver suspected of committing an offence on January 28.

Andrea Armstrong Webb, 51, of Lunesdale Street, Hetton, received three penalty points on her driving licence, was fined £40 and ordered to pay a £32 victim surcharge after admitting speeding at 46 miles per hour through 40 miles per hour roadworks near Testo’s Roundabout on January 17.

Kerry Harvey, 43, of Vine Street, South Shields, was ordered to pay a £140 fine, £100 compensation, a £32 victim surcharge and £100 costs after admitting three charges of resisting police officers in the execution of their duty on July 28 last year.

Aneta Piascka, 34, of Blackpool Parade, Hebburn, was fined £40 and ordered to pay £32 costs after she was convicted of failing to pay for Metro train fare in advance on June 12.
