South Shields man branded a ‘risk to women’ after he traumatised two former partners
A brute who poses a risk to women has been jailed for seven years for traumatising two former partners.
Stuart Hansen was on bail for offences against one woman when he targeted the second, has previous convictions for violence and police call outs against his name.
Newcastle Crown Court heard the first victim was in a two-year relationship with Hansen, who she said had "jealous tendencies" and told her what to do and wear.
Prosecutor Estelle Chambers said he was unhappy about the woman having male friends on social media, became aggressive during arguments, pushed her to the floor, dragged her by her hair, punched and spat at her and made a sinister threat during a trip to a cabin.
Miss Chambers said: "He said if he killed her no-one would find out as they were in a rural area."

The court heard after the victim reported Hansen to the police he was bailed and started a relationship with another woman, which lasted just six months.
Miss Chambers said: "She describes him being jealous, controlling and aggressive throughout that relationship, assaulting her, monitoring her phone, demanding money."
The court heard Hansen poured a drink over the woman's head, falsely told her he had destroyed a precious lock of her late mother's hair for the enjoyment of seeing her upset and would switch between "nasty and violent to wanting kisses and cuddles".
Miss Chambers said during one attack Hansen bit the woman on the lip causing it to bleed and swell and repeatedly punched her during another.
During other outbursts he picked her up by her neck, bit her hand and got her in a chokehold until she was dizzy.
The first victim said Hansen destroyed her self worth, self confidence and self esteem.
The second said she was left "a shell of myself" and said in an impact statement: "I fear for other women. I don't believe he will change his ways. His behaviour is deep-rooted and persistent."
Hansen, 41, of Honeysuckle Avenue, South Shields, South Tyneside, admitted controlling and coercive behaviour in relation to the first victim and controlling and coercive behaviour, two charges of assault, assault by beating and intentional strangulation in relation to the second.
Judge Richard Thomas jailed him for 86 months and told him: "You do, in my judgement, realistically pose a significant risk hereafter, to women in particular, of causing them serious, significant, harm."
The judge added: "You damaged each of these women very substantially indeed."
Michael Forrest, defending, said there are "two sides" to Hansen, who when under the influence of drink or drugs is "not the same person".
Mr Forrest said Hansen handed in character references, has strong family support and been doing well in custody on remand.
