Daryl Murphy OUT of Ireland squad as Newcastle's injury concerns deepen


The Newcastle United striker has had a scan on a calf injury since linking up with his international team-mates.
And it was confirmed today that Murphy would NOT be fit enough to play in Friday's World Cup qualifier against Wales in Dublin.

Hide AdThe 34-year-old will now return to Tyneside for treatment.
United defender Grant Hanley was forced to withdraw from the Scotland squad over the weekend due to an ankle injury.
Murphy and Hanley played in Saturday's goalless draw against Birmingham City at St Andrew's.
The Championship leaders return to action on April 1 with a home game against Wigan Athletic.
