The Dogs Trust has so many amazing dogs up for adoption with the hope of finding forever homes for all.
Darlington’s rehoming centre has more than 80 dogs in search of their families and this is just a small selection of those on offer.
Here we have 13 cute pups in need of a home in time for Christmas - you can find out more at: https://www.dogstrust.org.uk/.
Take a look and see if you can open your heart and home to a furry friend.

5. Maxwell (Border Collie Cross)
Maxwell is a super sweet and intelligent boy who is on the lookout for an adult only home. If there are any visitors to the home, they will need to meet him away from the house and give him the space he needs. Maxwell will prefer to be the only pampered pooch in the home but will enjoy having the occasional canine friend to join him on his walks. He prefers his pooch pals to be calm so his adopters will need to be mindful of this when out on walks. | Dogs Trust Darlington

6. Greg (Crossbreed)
Greg is on the lookout for a quieter home where he can be allowed the space and time to settle in. He does make friends quite easily but prefers to keep food to himself and can be uncomfortable with formal handling. He will not be suitable to live with children or with them visiting. | Dogs Trust Darlington

7. Monica (Labrador Retriever)
Monica is a lovely girl who can find the world a scary place. She is looking for a home with patient and understanding family who will give her time to adjust to home life. Once she builds a bond with you her affectionate side starts to shine through and she starts to show off her playful side. Monica is worried around other dogs so will need to be the only dog in the home and can live with children who are aged 14 and above that understand when Monica will need some space. | Dogs Trust Darlington

8. Opel (German Shepherd)
Opel is a loving one-year-old German Shepherd. She’ll thrive with a family who understand the breed and the stimulation that is required, mentally and physically, on a day-to-day basis to keep her happy and entertained. Opel has arrived in our care with no previous home history, so she’ll need a member of her new family to have plenty of time to devote to her and be around to help settle her into home life. | Dogs Trust Darlington
