There are so many puppies in search of their forever home this week across the North and North East.
Darlington, Cumbria and Leeds rehoming centres are hoping to find lovely homes for their dogs in order to give them the best possible lives.
Here are just 17 of the dogs searching for a forever home this February.

5. Ebony (Staffordshire Bull Terrier, one year)
Ebony is a classic little Staffy! She's one year old and was found as a stray, so unfortunately we don't know anything about her history. What we have seen however, is a busy, energetic girl who loves her training! | DT Photo: Dogs Trust Leeds

6. Wendy (Boxer, two-five years)
Wendy is a lovely young dog who will definitely capture the heart of an active dog lover She adores attention and going out for walks. Wendy walks well on lead and is happy to walk alongside other dogs and have dog friends to run free with in a secure area. She likes snuffle mats and stuffed kongs to keep her busy. She knows basic training and is very foody which her adopters will find beneficial for further training. She loves the outdoors but equally loves getting cosy, the best of both worlds. Wendy is a playful girl who also loves her toys, she will make a wonderful addition to someone's home. | DT Photo: Dogs Trust Cumbria

7. Lola & Tutu (Chihuahuas, ten years)
Lola and Tutu are an adorable pair of 10-year-old Chihuahuas who came to us through no fault of their own and are now looking for a quiet and calm retirement home together. Whilst they are happy in each other’s company, they would want to be the only dogs in the home. Both Lola and Tutu can be uncomfortable being handled by unfamiliar people, so they will need an adult only home with adopters who understand they will need a ‘hands-off’ approach to begin with and who can give them their own space. Lola and Tutu are housetrained but may need a refresher in their new home so an enclosed garden would help with this. They are fine to be left on their own for a few hours once settled in. | DT Photo: Dogs Trust Leeds

8. Kylo (Beagle, five-seven years)
Kylo is looking for an active home who can help him balance his exercise with rest time. He's always wanting to be on the go and struggles with switching off. This will need some work and time dedicated so his family should be at home with him throughout the day. He prefers a slow approach with handling so would be best suited to an adult only home with no visiting children. Kylo has some walking pals here at the centre and could potentially live with another doggy pal. Although he'd be just as happy doing his own thing and following all the sniffs with his snoot. | DT Photo: Dogs Trust Darlington
