There are so many gorgeous dogs in search of their forever home this week across the North and North East.
Darlington, Cumbria and Leeds rehoming centres are hoping to find lovely homes for their dogs in order to give them the best possible lives.
Here are just 21 of the dogs searching for a loving family and forever home this week.

17. Polly (Border Collie, five-seven years)
Polly is an amazing, friendly girl who will thrive with a family willing to put in the work with her. She’s super smart and already knows a few tricks but would love to keep her mind active by learning more and having plenty of enrichment games to keep her entertained. Being very foody, this can be included in games as well as aiding her training. Polly enjoys her toys and is more than happy to get you involved for a game of fetch! | DT Photo: Dogs Trust Darlington

18. Sasha (Rottweiler Cross, two years)
Sasha is such a sweetheart, and all her handlers love her to bits due to her playful nature and super snuggly personality. She is very foody so this will really help with any ongoing training. If you give her the time and space she needs initially she will soon show you the fun, playful and affectionate dog her handlers see. If you give this wonderful girl a chance, we promise you won’t regret it! | DT Photo: Dogs Trust Leeds

19. Mia (German Shepherd, two-five years)
Mia is a beautiful girl who is looking for a family who can provide her with fun activities and adventures. She is a friendly girl with people and can be excitable. Mia is reactive to dogs and is looking for a dog free home with quiet areas to walk her away from lots of other dogs. Mia's family will need to be around throughout the day to help settle Mia in and time alone should be introduced gradually, she is used to being left for 1-2 hours at present. Please note Mia can be strong on lead so will either need an owner who can manage this, or who can drive her to a secure enclosed field to be let off lead. | DT Photo: Dogs Trust Darlington

20. Zena (Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cross, one year)
Zena is a fabulous dog who’s got a lot of potential, but she needs her adopters to put in a bit of training work initially. She is very strong on lead so certainly not for the feint-hearted, but in confident and capable hands she is very manageable. After a few meets you’ll find her lots of fun, and super cuddly with her friends! She has been working on her dog socialisation and will need to continue this slowly once she’s settled into her new home. If you love big, beefy affectionate dogs then you could be a great match for Zena. | DT Photo: Dogs Trust Leeds
