Dogs Trust Darlington currently have 45 gorgeous dogs and puppies up for adoption.
The North East centre is looking for lovely people to care and provide the adorable creatures with a second chance and loving home.
Here are the nine pups who have been at the centre for the longest.

5. Arnie (Caucasian Shepherd Dog Cross)
Arnie has hip dysplasia - he has a physiotherapy plan that can be carried out at home and he will require ongoing medication which our vet team will be happy to discuss with potential adopters. This doesn’t slow Arnie down though, as he is always up for a bit of an adventure. Arnie is a big, energetic boy with a big personality who really is excited to meet everyone. He is completely unaware of his size and still thinks he’s a teeny, tiny puppy dog. Arnie really is just a loveable goofball who can’t wait to meet his new family! (Credit: Dogs Trust) | Dogs Trust

6. Loki husky (Siberian Husky)
Loki has had a lot of upheaval so his next home needs to be his forever home to give him stability. He needs gradual socialising with dogs that he doesn’t know. He can be very vocal on lead when he sees them, so he will prefer to be walked in quieter areas and having his own secure garden for off lead fun times. Loki needs owners to be around for him for the majority of the day as he doesn’t cope with being alone. New owners will need to be prepared to get him used to being by himself very gradually. This may mean having suitable back up support at times. (Credit: Dogs Trust) | Dogs Trust

7. Jethro (Foxhound Cross)
Jethro is a young hound- BFG comes to mind. He is a sweet lad who is very strong on lead so will need some leadwork in the home and owners who can manage his strength. Jethro would benefit from having plenty of mental stimulation such as activity toys, destruction boxes and snuffle mats. He is a playful boy with other dogs and does enjoy having some off lead play time occasionally or even just a nice little sociable walk. (Credit: Dogs Trust) | Dogs Trust

8. Gary (Mastiff Cross)
Gary’s one true love is food. This has helped immensely with the training that he has been receiving at the centre (alongside his clever brain) and he really enjoys learning new things. He can be a little anxious around resources, but has learnt to share with his carers, which in time will transfer to new owners. He does have a sensitive side, with loud noises spooking him, so would prefer a quieter environment. (Credit: Dogs Trust) | Dogs Trust
