We already know that Newcastle has some of the best restaurants in the North East, but it is always fantastic to see them get listed among the top in the country too.
The Michelin Guide is a way for diners to find out about the top eateries across the nation with some sites being awarded a much-wanted star and the newest edition of the guide was released recently.
In Newcastle there have been two additions to the guide in 2024, these are Osters in Gosforth and Six, which can be found in the Baltic Art Gallery.
Newcastle boasts two sites with Michelin Stars, and you can see them as part of the list below.

5. Dobson and Parnell
Dobson and Parnell on Queen Street also makes the guide, with emphasis given to its fish dishes. "The menus offer plenty of choice, with the kitchen taking recognisable dishes and bringing them up to date; the fish dishes are particularly good. Do start with a pre-prandial cocktail." | Google

6. Cook House
Ouseburn's Cook House also made the guide thanks to its seasonal dishes. Teh guide says: "After opening a shipping container café, local food blogger Anna Hedworth crowdfunded this stripped-back, industrial-style restaurant with a pleasant terrace and a relaxed feel. Dinner is the main event, with many of the vibrant, fiercely seasonal dishes cooked on the hibachi barbeque." | Google Photo: Google

7. Rebel
One of the newest restaurants from Newcastle on the guide, Rebel can be found on this stretch of Heaton Park Road to the East of the city. The guide says: "The seasonal set menu offers small plates with a light, modern touch. The wine list includes some interesting organic and biodynamic choices, and it’s worth going for the pairings." | Google

8. Nest
Over on Chillingham Road, Nest has also made the list. The guide says: "The interesting set menus offer simple dishes not constricted by culinary boundaries." | Google
