Great North Feast returns to the South Shields seafront - everything you need to know

The Great North Feast in the Park is heading back to South Shields.

A popular free three-day food and drink festival is returning to the South Shields seafront for the second time this year.

The Great North Feast in the Park is set to return to Bents Park over the Summer Bank Holiday Weekend (Saturday, August 29 to Monday, August 31).

The event saw ‘recording-breaking’ visitor numbers when it was previously at Bents Park throughout the Spring Bank Holiday Weekend, in May.

Those attending will have the chance to enjoy local street food vendors, stalls hosted by local producers, live music and entertainment for children.

Mark Deakin, the organiser of the Great North Feast in the Park, has previously called on members of the public to help support the festival to ensure that it remains free for years to come.
