Spooky season is coming to South Shields Market.

The organisers of South Shields Market are set to host Halloween-themed activities for the full family.

Those who are heading to the market on Saturday, October 31, will be able to browse a wide range of stalls and take part in some spooky fun.

There will be a face painter to offer a range of frightful designs for children and families, providing a perfect way to get into the Halloween spirit at the market.

There will be more activities and entertainment coming to South Shields Market in the run up to the festive season after funding was secured from the North East Mayoral Combined Authority through the High Streets Innovation Programme.

South Tyneside Council has previously confirmed that there will be Christmas markets, festive choirs and bands, carolling and opportunities to meet Santa.
