Louie is a sweet lad who has struggled to cope with the shelter environment. Shelter staff have spent a lot of time with Louie to help him build up his confidence – going at a pace he is comfortable with. He is now showing his happier, more playful and affectionate side with some of our staff and will always be waiting at the front of his pen at feeding time! | Newcastle Dog & Cat Shelter

16. Max (Patterdale Terrier)
Max arrived into care and immediately settled in like he had been here all along! He is a confident lad and has taken everything in his stride. Max is quite a typical terrier and can be stubborn and is set in his ways but is a lovely lad with a huge personality! Max is looking for terrier experienced owners and would probably like to go on plenty of outdoor adventures and we feel would make a brilliant hiking buddy. | Newcastle Dog & Cat Shelter
