Newcastle Dog & Cat Shelter has a number of animals that are looking for their forever home.
The shelter, which was established in 1896, helps animals that are unwanted, neglected, abused and abandoned - as well as reuniting lost animals with their owners and finding loving new homes for those who are no longer wanted.
Here are 17 cute animals who are in need of a home - you can find out more at: https://www.dogandcatshelter.com/.
Take a look and see if you can open your heart and home to a new four-legged friend!

17. Dottie (Kangal Shepherd)
Dottie is a wonderful, friendly big girl who has adored every person she has met since arriving at the shelter. She can be affectionate and playful when the mood takes her, she can also be a strong girl when on lead and does sometimes jump up when she gets too excited! Her new family should have experience with large breeds and be capable of managing her out on walks when she does pull. | Newcastle Dog & Cat Shelter

18. Suzie
Suzie is a sweet beautiful girl who can be a little shy at times. She was nervous when she first came into the shelter, she has really come out of her shell whilst settling in and frequently waits by her door for someone to come say hello. Suzie loves to be stroked and get affection and enjoys playing with her toys. She also loves Dreamies so can be won round with those pretty easily! | Newcastle Dog & Cat Shelter
