Jarrow Roofing boss wants side to cut out mistakes
Despite a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Ashington last time out, Roofing’s form has improved vastly of late and they will be looking to secure victory on Saturday to try and finish the season on a high.
Meanwhile, their opponents Shields’ form has dipped somewhat recently and Roofing will hope that they can use this clash to get back on track.

Hide AdIn their last five outings the Robins have only tasted victory once and they have fallen down the table to 10th place. Nevertheless, they still sit five places above Roofing and will present a difficult task.
Last time the two sides met Shields dished out a 5-0 hammering, so Richie McLoughlin’s men will be looking to make up for that defeat.
McLoughlin’s side are now safe from relegation, but the Roofers boss has made it clear that he wants to see good performances between now and the end of the campaign.
“To be honest we’ve got good players and we should be up there,” he said.

“I think we could move up the table a lot more, but if we keep giving mistakes away it won’t happen.
“We were too casual in the defeat to Ashington.”
And that 3-0 reverse seems to have particularly rankled with McLoughlin, whose side were on a four-game winning streak heading into the fixture.
And the Roofing supremo believes that his side are capable of a lot more if they can cut out individual errors.
“Mistakes cost us against Ashington,” he said.

“We need to take a lot more care of the ball and stop losing it so easily. We’ve given the ball away too cheaply and it’s all down to individual errors.”
Roofing will be boosted by the return to fitness of defender Alex White and Josh Allan for tomorrow’s game
Kick off is 3pm.
