Just wanton destruction

Ms Stephenson may well be a governor at Laygate Community School and a volunteer with South Tyneside Hospital League of Friends, not to mention at council level, chairwoman of the Housing Performance Panel and vice-chairwoman of the Riverside Area Forum, but why, oh why, did the busy lady support the so-called Friends of Mowbray Road Park in its wanton destruction that will take more than two men with a pick and shovel to put right?

Incidentally, of all the people I’ve spoken to on the dreadful state of the said park, only Ms Stephenson had anything positive to say on the matter and I have heard on the grapevine that the Friends of the Park, who turned out to be wolves in sheep’s clothing, have since disbanded and good riddance.
