A new independent councillor is set to join South Tyneside Council following a by-election in the borough’s Primrose ward.
One week today, residents of South Tyneside and Gateshead will head to the polls to cast their vote in this year’s local government, Northumbria Police and Crime Commissioner and North East Mayoral elections.
