Galloway is a target for Rafa Benitez, who is keen to strengthen his defence for the Championship.
Newcastle could have to pay a seven-figure loan fee to sign the 20-year-old, signed from Milton Keynes Dons two years ago.

Dummett – who signed a new long-term deal earlier this year – started Friday night’s season-opening 1-0 defeat to Fulham at Craven Cottage, but struggled at times.
Galloway, under contract at Goodison Park until 2020, could join Newcastle this week ahead of Saturday’s home game against Huddersfield Town, with negotiations understood to be at an advanced stage.
The Zimbabwe-born player has represented England up to Under-19 level.
