Newcastle man who sparked search after going missing found 'safe and well'
Police who launched an appeal to find a man after he failed to attend a medical appointment have confirmed he has been found.
Newcastle man Andrew Johnson, 48, of no fixed address, was was reported missing on August 16 after he failed to turn up to a medical appointment in Newcastle on Friday, August 5. Northumbria Police said it had been out of character for Andrew and were growing concerned for his welfare. Today, officers have said Mr Johnson has been located and is safe and well.
