Obstruction closes South Tyneside Metro line
Metro services have been suspended on most of the South Tyneside line.

There are no services in operation on the stretch of the route between Hebburn and Chichester due to obstruction on the line.
The section includes the Jarrow, Bede, Simonside and Tyne Dock stations.
