Three things successful people do on achieving their health and fitness goals

I’ve been in the fitness industry for 12 years now and I have helped hundreds of people achieve their fitness goals.

The three things my successful clients always do is:

#1 THEY KNOW WHAT THEY REALLY WANT TO ACHIEVE

If you're in a car, driving somewhere you've never been before and you don't put the destination into your Sat Nav, it's going to be very difficult to reach your destination.

The same rules apply when setting your health and fitness goals.

Ask yourself now what you especially want to change about yourself.

You need to have a clear target so that you can create an effective plan to get there.

#2 HAVE A GOOD COACH

If you struggle with motivation and accountability, getting a coach is a game changer!

They will put you on the correct path to achieve your goals so you're not left to try and figure it all out by yourself.

Working with a personal trainer gives you lots of accountability; whether you don't want to lose the money or don't want to let them down, you're far more likely to show up and do the work.A good trainer will also teach a variety of exercise methods.

With my clients, no two sessions are the same.

Between machines, body weight exercises, free weights, and equipment like balls and straps, there's no end to the combinations you could be working on.An experienced personal trainer will also make the most of your workout time, which increases the efficiency of your exercise programme.

This is especially beneficial when you have a limited amount of time to exercise.

They'll know how to optimise every minute you have available in the gym to achieve your target in the least amount of time.

#3 THEY DON’T SEE SLIP UPS AS ‘FAILURES’

Picture this scenario: you start your diet, and it's going well.

But then you have a bad day a work; you're stressed out and need a release.

You go into the kitchen cupboards and before you know it you've smashed a whole pack of Hobnobs and three bags of crisps.

Now that's the not the problem here. That happens to everyone every now and then.

The real issue is looking at the night and feeling that you've failed your whole diet so decide to sack the whole thing off.You will slip up now and then; don't feel guilty. Enjoy it and move on forwards the next day.

Those are the three things that all of my successful clients do to achieve their fitness goals.

If you are just starting out, or you’ve hit a plateau then make sure you get these three things in place to ensure your success.

Some of the things successful clients have said:

"I joined ECF three years ago and it has totally changed my life. I have lost weight and feel so much fitter. Thanks to Graham for the brilliant classes, something different every time you go. Everyone is friendly and welcome you to the class. Would highly recommended this place to anyone.” Aftter dipping in and out of fitness groups for 40 years I finally found the perfect fitness class at East Coast Fitness started Graham’s classes around four years ago when I retired from the NHS. I have continued to be part of ECF ever since. The appeal for me is Graham’s drive and passion for fitness. His warm unassuming nature and dedicated approach makes everyone feel welcome and part of a group. He has created a first class business with the aim of helping people in becoming the best version of themselves."
