These 10 cats will all be spending Christmas in foster care, but volunteers in South Shields have a Christmas wish to find them a new family in time for next year.
Some of them have been at Willows Cat Adoption Centre for the whole year hoping to find a new home.
Many have special needs and unique personalities and staff are careful to match the cat to the new owners family circumstances, to make sure it's a lifelong friendship.

Meet the cats here...
9. Neive
Neive was found at the Little Haven Hotel begging for food. At 13-years-old she is another vintage treasure looking for a lovely quiet ‘retirement’ home where they’re will never be any babies or other pets. A cosy quiet life is all she asks for. | Other 3rd Party Photo: Willows Cat Adoption Centre
10. Freddy
At 10-years-old Freddy is another vintage treasure. He still hides when visitors come, but once he’s gained your trust he’ll enjoy a close relationship with a patient gentle human. He loves to sit beside you, paw on your lap and he’ll happily purr away like a tractor. | Other 3rd Party Photo: Willows Cat Adoption Centre
