Chris Ramsey and Rosie Ramsey win Best Podcast prize at Global Awards ceremony just day after ARIAs honour

S*****d Married Annoyed, launched by the South Shields couple in 2019, took home the Best Podcast prize at the Global Awards on Thursday, March 5.

The previous evening, the show was recognised with the Bronze Award for Funniest Show at the ARIAS – marking a run of success for Chris and Rosie who have also announced a podcast book and tour for later this year.

Released each Friday, S*****d Married Annoyed discusses the everyday dramas of parenting, marriage and life in general. It has had millions of streams to date.

Taking to Instagram after the win, which was presented by actress and TV personality Emily Atack and singer Anne-Marie, Rosie posted a video of the moment she and husband Chris were announced as their category’s winners.

She said: “Thank you so much to everyone who voted a few months back. This was a public vote award so that makes it even more special to us.

“Wonder if Robin [the couple’s four-year-old son] will be impressed? Probably not, to be fair.”

Chris added: “We won! Best Podcast at The Global Awards. Thanks to everyone who voted!”

Other nominees in their category included Chris Moyles’ Radio X podcast and Off Menu, hosted by comedians Ed Gamble and James Acaster.

The Global Awards took place on Thursday at London’s Hammersmith's Eventim Apollo.
