Chris Ramsey and Rosie Ramsey win Bronze award at UK ARIAS for Funniest Show

South Shields comedian Chris Ramsey and wife Rosie have been crowned broadcasting royalty at the Audio & Radio Industry Awards (ARIAS).

The couple were awarded the Bronze prize for Funniest Show at the glittering ceremony, which took place on Wednesday, March 4.

In their cateogry, Elis James and John Robins of BBC Radio 5 Live took the Gold award, while James Veitch’s Contractual Obligation, on BBC Radio 4, was given Silver.

Chris and Rosie took to social media to thank the fans, affectionately known as SMAs and DAs for their support since the podcast’s launch.

Posting a picture from the ceremony at the London Palladium on Instagram, Chris said: “Got a Bronze ARIAS Award with the CQSP tonight. Proper chuffed!

Rosie added on Twitter: “We got a bronze! Very proud indeed!
