Little Mix star Jade Thirlwall’s touching tribute to Chloe Rutherford and Liam Curry on third anniversary of Manchester bombing
Jade recorded the kind message to the family and friends of Chloe Rutherford and Liam Curry, who tragically lost their lives in the Manchester Arena terror attack three years ago.
On May 22, 2017 a suicide bomber targeted the Ariana Grande concert they were attending, claiming the lives of Chloe, 17 and Liam, 19 - as well as 20 other victims.
In a sombre video shared on her Arbeia Bar Facebook page on Friday, May 22, Jade said: “Today we would like to join everyone in remembering Liam and Chloe, whose lives were suddenly taken away three years ago today.”
She also announced that the team would be showing their support by donating to the Chloe and Liam Together Forever Trust, as well as offering an Emperor package for the bar on Ocean Road, as a charity raffle prize once they are reopen when lockdown is lifted.
Jade added: “I would like to send lots and lots of love to both of the families and of course, South Shields will never, ever forget Chloe and Liam.”
Every year on the anniversary of their deaths South Tyneside celebrates Pink and Blue Day to raise funds for the Chloe and Liam Together Forever Trust which was set up in their memory.
This year, the families have asked people to turn social media pink and blue instead and to raise a glass to the couple at 10.31pm.
