Little Mix's Jade Thirlwall films joke TikTok message in South Shields in response to motherhood questions after band mates announce pregnancies
Little Mix star Jade Thirlwall enjoyed a night of live music – and sent a humorous message on questions about her becoming a mum – during a visit to her hometown of South Shields.
The 28-year-old, who owns the Arbeia bar in Ocean Road, paid a visit to the venue on Thursday, June 25, to see North East singers Jen & Liv perform.
In a series of clips shared on Jade’s and Arbeia’s social media accounts, Jade can be seen catching up with the musical duo and cheering them on as they take to the stage.
Jade posted a clip of her with the girls posing in front of the Arbeia sign on her Insta Stories saying: “Can’t wait to watch Jen and Live perform on stage in 30 minutes at Arbeia South Shields ”
Meanwhile Arbeia invited fans and punters down to the bar to see Jade ahead of the night of live music, saying: “Our landlady Jade is in tonight to watch Jen and Liv going live on stage now.
“Come down and join us, we’re open until 2am.”
During her visit home Jade has also enjoyed a tip to South Shields seafront, sharing a hilarious TikTok video of her running on The Leas in an apparent effort to dodge questions on when she may be having children.
She captioned the clip ‘When all your mates are having babies and ask when it’s your turn’ and posting ‘Don’t mind me, running away from life brb’.
Jade’s joke comes after bandmates Perrie Edwards and Leigh-Anne Pinnock announced they were pregnant.
Jade said at the time: “I love my home town and wanted to invest in the local economy.
“South Shields is a unique place with a lot to offer and I wanted to support that.”
Originally named Red Door, the bar changed its name in homage to the South Shields landmark, Arbeia Roman Fort, in February 2020 and expanded with a new nightclub next door called Industry.
The bar reopened for the first time in seven months on May 17 following the easing of lockdown restrictions.
