Police called out to South Shields street
Police have been seen in a South Shields street this evening.
Witnesses say that officers were seen near cars on grass off Winskell Road, near John Reid Road in the town.
One man told the Gazette: "Not sure whats happening, lots of police and helicopter and what looks like two cars involved off road."
Northumbria Police has not given out any details as yet.
