Popular Customs House actor is set to direct his first panto this Easter

A well known Customs House actor has swapped learning lines to guide the actors as he becomes director of his first pantomime.
Steven Lee Hamilton has been acting at The Customs House since 2003 when he appeared in his first pantomime - Sleeping Beauty.
Steven spent some time performing outside of the North East before returning to South Tyneside back in 2011 taking on the role of Aladdin at The Customs House ever since.
For the first time last Christmas he played the role of villain, Abanazar.
This Easter Steven will take on the role of director for pantomime 'Little Red Riding Hood' which is promised to be a stellar performance from the cast.
Speaking to Steven about the show he said: "Directing it is great because I'm on the total other side of performing and I'd of never thought when I done my first panto here in 2003 that I'd be directing one of them."
"It's a lovely pantomime and it's got everything that you would expect from The Customs House. There's great music, we're going to have the infamous slop scene, and gorgeous costumes. Get your tickets, it's going to be good!"
Steven was asked by Executive Director, Ray Spencer MBE to direct the show. Thrilled to be offered the opportunity, Steven is looking forward to getting underway with the show.
The panto will follow Red, Granny and Dennis in Cooksonville as they bring to life the story of Little Red Riding Hood.
