The Save Our Stanley’s campaign has rearranged its teddy bears’ picnic.

Campaigners calling for Stanley’s nurseries to be kept open have announced the rescheduled date for their teddy bears’ picnic in South Shields.

The Save Our Stanley’s campaign was initially set to host the event on Sunday, August 9, but it had to be called off due to bad weather.

As a result, the event has been rescheduled for Sunday, September 6, in South Marine Park, between 11am and 1pm.

Members of the public are invited to bring their own picnic and teddy bears to join in with a full range of activities for the entire family to get involved in.

Organisers have confirmed that if it rains, then the event will be held indoors at Jarrow Focus, on Cambrian Street, in Jarrow.
