South Shields man secures a top ‘Technology & AI Champion’ award
A South Shields man has been declared a ‘Technology & AI Champion’.
A South Shields man is celebrating after he picked up a top honour at the Checkatrade Regional Awards for North England, Northern Ireland and Scotland.
Graeme Atkinson, of South Tyneside-based A & M Digi Home Solutions Ltd, was named as the ‘Technology & AI Champion’ during the ceremony on October 22, at Headingley Stadium.
The company, which has headquartered on Jarrow’s Bede Trading Estate, installs professional-grade CCTV, intruder alarms, fire systems, media walls, and more.
The annual Checkatrade Awards look to shine a spotlight on tradespeople who go above and beyond for their customers.
When selecting winners, judges look for top craftsmanship, commitment to professionalism, reliability, and helping homeowners feel confident when choosing a trade.
Jambu Palaniappan, CEO at Checkatrade, has praised Graeme for “going a step beyond” following his success at the regional awards ceremony.
He said: “Great trades earn their place on Checkatrade and keep earning it.
“But members like Graeme go a step beyond this already high bar.
“The Checkatrade Awards are all about celebrating the pride and effort our outstanding members put into their work, and shining a light on their achievements.
“We’re very proud of them all.”
Following the regional ceremonies across the country, the Checkatrade Awards will culminate in a national final in central London on November 19.
The final will see the category winners from all of the regional events come together to see who will be crowned as the national winners.
