South Tyneside travel hit by Tyne Tunnel closure - here's when
Motorists in South Tyneside are warned of an upcoming Tyne Tunnel closure.
South Tyneside motorists are set to be impacted by a Tyne Tunnel closure this weekend.
TT2, the operator of the Tyne Tunnels, has confirmed that a northbound closure will be in place overnight on Saturday, July 4.

The tunnel will be closed to motorists from 9am and will reopen at 5am following scheduled maintenance works.
During the closure period, the southbound tunnel will operate in a bi-directional layout to ensure that travel in both directions can be accommodated.
Motorists heading northbound during the closure are advised to follow cones and diversion signage as they cross over to the southbound carriageway.
They will travel through the tunnel in the left lane and then are advised to once again follow cones and diversion signage to cross back over to the northbound carriageway of the A19 when they are in North Tyneside.
