Metro services resume between Pelaw and South Hylton following signalling problems
and on Freeview 262 or Freely 565
Nexus, the operator of the Tyne and Wear Metro, has confirmed services are running again following a signalling fault on Monday, August 17.
Trains were suspended at around 1.30pm before the signalling problems were resolved at 2.45pm.

Hide AdHowever passengers have been warned there may be some significant delays to services as trains return to timetable.
A Nexus spokesman said: “A services suspension was in place between Pelaw and South Hylton earlier today due to a signalling fault.
“The incident occurred at around 1.30pm and was rectified by 2.45pm.
“During the disruption Metro tickets were accepted on local bus services.


“We’re sorry to customers for the inconvenience caused.”
